Best Homemade Beef Lasagna

This lasagna recipe was inspired by my mom (with a little twist) and is a huge hit with our family! Easy to make and better than any restaurant lasagna. Also, perfect for freezing and leftovers

Meat Sauce:

◾️2 tbsp olive oil

◾️1.5 lb ground beef, 90% lean

◾️1 med onion, chopped

◾️4 minced garlic cloves

◾️1 tsp salt

◾️1/2 tsp pepper

◾️1 tsp oregano

◾️24 oz jar tomato basil sauce

◾️1 ½ cup water or chicken broth

Cheese mixture:

◾️1 egg

◾️1 15oz tub of full-fat ricotta

◾️1 cup mozzarella cheese, freshly grated

◾️1/2 cup sour cream

◾️1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan

◾️3 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Everything else:

◾️9-12 lasagna noodles, depends on your dish size

◾️1/2 cup freshly grated parm for top

◾️3 cups freshly grated mozzarella for layering

◾️Foil for covering

Bake lasagna covered with foil for 20 minutes on 375 degrees F. Then take foil off and bake another 20-25 min. Use foil for longer if you do not like brown edges.
